Description

The intended purpose of this room was to have a space where the client’s wife and their new-born baby could sleep in during the first month of the maternity period. This space provided a conducive environment to nurse and take care of the baby as Tatami gives the right amount of firmness for falling asleep easily. The clients also liked that the Tatami is easy to clean when milk spills or if the baby accidentally soils the mat. The Tatami also helps to dampen noises as it is a cushion, so when the baby cries at night, it would not wake up the other family members.
