The room originally had a bay window and to maximize space, our clients decided to create a hidden storage platform with Tatami over the bay window area. As a student, space to keep his books and personal belongings is essential which is why the hidden storage concept was chosen. Tatami provides our client with the firm support that is required when sleeping. As most of the time is spent on the computer, Tatami provides support for backaches. A hidden table was also incorporated so that friends can have a group study session and also enjoy board games with friends and family. When the table is not in use, it can be hidden away nicely and the whole space is transformed into a sleeping area again.
