The Tatami Experience
The idea of a Functiona-malistic lifestyle was introduced into the Singapore market at its infancy stage by a local enterpreneur in 1999. We took 3 years to educate the public on the Tatami Furnishing Concept by setting out small shops located @ Takashimaya, Parkway Parade, C.K. Tang and Wisma Atrium.
After which, we created the world's first Tatami boutique shop at the Esplanade Mall in 2002, and the second outlet at East Coast Road in 2006.
The Tatami Shop Service
We are one of the few retail shops that require you to remove your shoes in order to experience our Tatami mats and furnishings.
Upon visiting our boutiques, you will be greeted by friendly and helpful Tatami associates. They will help you in every step to ensure the best selections for your needs.We can also custom-made each Tatami mat to meet your requirements.

With a combination of traditional weaving methods and top quality materials sourced internationally; The Tatami Shop continues to innovate, expand and serve our commerical and residential clients. Our clients range from Japanese restaurants (Tatsuya @ The Crown Prince Hotel), spas in Bahrain and Dubai; HDB flats, private houses in Singapore and abroad (USA, Germany, France, Switzerland, Italy, Korea, Australia, and Russia).
